Nah, if it's about any war it's about that it should play out like in a view of mine, namely a country's best warrior against the opposing country's best warrior. The winning country takes it all. Or how about letting the politicians fight! Or lastly how about a fine, good ol' game of chess? Guess that'll never happen :P.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that this song is about the old way of seeing things and of honor and respect, not necessarily for your enemy but for humanity (and I say that as, generally, a misanthrope).
I know that total peace is completely impossible (counting crime as anti-peace) but if one is going to make war, at least fight honorable. That is, long ranged missiles, nukes, and even guns not included.
