an epic and noble, slightly sorrowed ambient song for ttback's upcoming game The Great Siege! This track was designed for the city mode section. Calm, defiant, strong, a bit of sadness for the coming fights. These are the solemn spirits that make up this community, unwilling to lay down and die.

An army prepares for an epic clash...
They are past dreading, past any excitement there may have been. There's nothing to do but prepare, which they do. an strange silence pervades the air. Strange, but not creepy. The calm before the storm is upon them. They know what they are about to do, but are optimistic, for it is the last battle and a long and bloody war. The undertones of sadness for the lost and those that will be soon is noticable, but stronger is the confidence of the warriors.
I can't really end it without going off track of this song.

I do not even notice the loop... it scares me
I think it looped about four times before I saw that it was less than a minute long. Well done my friend, there is not even a slight gap and it flows like a simple, small yet unobstructed river. I love it! Though it does scare me a bit...

I like this one.
I love how everybody posts their own images they have from listening to your pieces, must be a good feeling for you. I agree with Snyper5527 about a warrior, the drums give it a very clear sense of natural surrounding, that's one thing about composing for some other media, it kind of needs the other half it's made for to get the full feeling, but still stand on it's own. I think it still works, and is great.

This might sound weird, but...
I am imagining a warrior, one who has seen the worst of tragedies, as well as the bravest of heroics and still lived. I'm seeing the warrior sitting, preparing for an epicfight he knows is inevitable, thinking about what hes fighting for and who hes lost. Then, he finds his courage and begins to prepare for battle. I like it, its relaxing, yet it feels like its building up to something HUGE. Keep up the great work maestro, and again, thanks for posting this song.

this is perfect for its purpose
I can picture a tribe going about gathering food and telling stories of the old gods, living their daily lives, which is what i am guessing is going to be going on in the background of the city screen in this game, no?
