= = BE SURE TO CHECK OUT MY OTHER 8-BIT TRACKS: "VICTORY!" and "GRAVEYARD" = =
NOTE: This is an ORIGINAL song, NOT a remix of any 8-bit game.
This is Hydro Dreams, one of many more 8-bit tunes to come. Also check out the others clearly labeled as 8-bit in my music profile. It's part of a new musical project I've just started, found at myspace(dot)com/daedatheu s .
This song strictly follows the NES hardware rules - no more than 3 wave channels at once + a noise channel. This means there are NEVER MORE THAN 3 NOTES PLAYING AT ANY GIVEN TIME, just like a real 8-bit NES chiptune. And, like any classic chiptune, this one loops!
Enjoy.

Great Stuff
I love the ornamentation and that one pitch bend you did (I love those)
Kudos for keeping within the boundaries of 8-bit counterpoint. I've always found it hard to express creativity in my music with only 3 voices (have yet to actually do it.), but you've managed to pull it off wonderfully.
Its true talent like the composers of the 80's that could make a memorable tune with such a narrow box to work in, hell its like Beethoven and Haydn.
Great job.

8-bit heaven
Another brilliant piece of music. If only everything submitted to Newgrounds was this good.

Amazing, man.
Pure genius.
Did you use FamiTracker for this?
Thanks!!
I used Magical 8-bit Plugin and Toad Nes Drums v1.2 I believe. Both are free VSTs that can sound pretty authentic if you use them right.
Cheers,
Nick
