Good mix, but maybe not the right kind of music.
You say this is for a last boss and I think it's close but I still think it's missing something...it seems too calm, it doesn't climb enough. Still, great work...better than I could hope for!
Nice attempt
I can see where your influence is coming from. I suppose it's a slightly different take on "last level" music, but it's not quite there. It's Classical in pretty much every sense of the word; it's too "perfect", not enough dissonance or tension for end game music, and the instances in which it does appear falls into the Classical formulae. As a piece on it's own it is great though, and was well worth doing. For your original intention it's fallen slightly short of the mark.
Yes, it is very classical, just like all myself. I am a classicaly trained musician, its all I know. But anyway thanks for writing the review, and I do appreciate your comments. :)
I quite enjoyed this,
This is good boss music generally. I enjoy the classical-style progressions a lot. It is very treble however, and would benefit from a slight change in the mix to bring the bass notes more forward.
If I had any other sort of suggestion for improvement on this, it would definitely be a slight increase in tempo. Battle music needs to be high energy and I think a moderate increase would make a world of difference.
Great work and I hope to see more from you in the future.
Thanks alot for writing a review. I'm not much of a composer so your comments your greatly appreciated. :D
Ok but...
Too many video game themes like this. Plus, it sounds like a victorious ending to a game, not a boss battle.
Please contact me if you would like to use this in a project. We can discuss the details.
