First of all thank you for clicking on this track, but before you go all hatin' on me know this:

- I made this as an attempt to recreate the song (the original is by Fort Minor)
- I made it to see how much skill I have (I don't have a personal studio, I made it in Fruity Loops)
- I uploaded it here on Newgrounds to share it with you, and hopefully get good comments
- I know that this isn't as good as the original :)
- I didn't try to change the song or try to remix it I just tried to make it sound as close to the original

Thanks for reading, please rate & comment I also hope you'll listen to my other more original stuff ;) PS: nobody commented on my "Cosmic Ambiance" track :( , I would really like to get some comments on that one because I'm thinking on sending it to OCRemix but I'm to lazy to read on how to upload there, so If I get good comments that would give me all much needed motivation :) (hey I'm just being honest here ;)

Good job

It's a pretty good remake, but that riff could use more instruments instead of just the piano, also needs some equalizing. I like how you experimented with the velocity of notes in FL but it's a bit too sudden, might not wanna make the volume too dynamic. still not bad, its on beat at least :)

Yeah, you could say that equalizing is one of my weaker points, but hey, time will show some improvements, thanks for the review, it makes me try even harder :)

Pretty Good

This is pretty good for just going through and makin it on the computer but ya should've added Mike Shanoda's voice instead of just leavin it with holly brooks. it was a little slower than the original. Other than that pretty good remake.

Thanks for the score :) ...I made two versions, I didn't upload the full acapella version because It wouldn't highlight my work as much, but if I get good comments and if people say that they want it I'll upload, no problem ;)

PS: I think it would be a terrible mistake to recreate the whole song and fail at the bpm part, It's the same as the original ;)

it sounds exactly like it

wow i have the cd and this sounds wayyyyyy too close like it. the only diffi can tell is the bass drum is like 1 little (unit of sound) louder
and the piano thing is awesome. i live this song.. and its better without his guys voice. and soooooooo soothing i cant fully explain gow amazed i am.
and your comment will attract those who just want to vote based on the firs 5 seconds and leave...... i hate that

Thank you so much for your kind review, It really gave me hope after I saw my score drop to near zero... so how did I do it? Oh man would you believe me If I told you I did it in just one night? (heh at least I remember it that way, don't get my word for it, It was a year ago, but I know I did it in a very short span, day or maybe two) I'm really not trying to impress you here, I spend the whole time listening piece by piece, first the beat, then hihats, piano & choir and finally the bass (and I had the most trouble with it, because for me It's the hardest thing to do, don't know why) when all layers were set I listened to each of them separately and adjusted the volume as accordingly as possible, the piano was the most fun part because it was the first time I actually tried to make it sound softer or louder in some areas so I wouldn't sound "midi" like, after that I played with stereo effect and finally added the voice... (that's the "short" version LOL) But I must admit that there is one sound that didn't make the cut because I forgot about it and later I tried to mimic it but it didn't work for me at the time, so I saved the project as it was. Whoa sorry everybody for writing so much, I got carried away LOL :)
