Another "Title Screen" type short.
This one is strictly Ambient.

This was created using EJAY Music Director Gold in an attempt to create my own 'simple' game-soundtrack.

"Hey, great!"

Well, I'm glad to be introduced to your stuff more! This was a really nice song and it had a verya artsy feeling to its subtlety. It was just a cool song with a nice use of instruments the whole 2 minutes. It's pretty flashy, and I think it works very well as a "simple" game-soundtrack and maybe even a bit too classy for something "simple". The use of fading at the end was always good, as I don't hear that in some audio submissions. It kind of sounded like a computer starting up at the beginning.

Thanks once again - This is the Title Screen theme to my game. It's not my favourite tune of my submissions but it's up at the top and suited the game screen perfectly.

"Nice work"

Certainly worthy of the title screen, with whatever sort of menu you want to create around the music - it's nothing too dominant over what is contained within the menu, so it can certainly be made to feel like there is something worth looking at, rather than just listening to the song. Though this song can quite easily be sat down and listened to, allowing for maximum enjoyment, as it's quite calming as well.

I'd maybe consider making the track longer, as with the fading, you've lost the ability to loop it - for me, that's a major downside, as you need to be able to take it further than where it is - sometimes menus are sat at for quite a while and making this into a loop would achieve perfection for this piece. You've got a good scope to add more material to it as well, maybe as much as 30s - 1m worth, which would just bring it to a whole new level.

Don't worry I faded this for Newgrounds, the menu has a looped version ;)
Thanks for the review, though - I dont have the program or source material to edit these (They're all multiple years old) but the criticism is noted ^^

"I like"

date: December 23, 2008

I liked this song, the bassline was really awesome, and the background effects really topped it off. It sorta reminded me of Pink Floyd, especially when the guitar came in, and that really worked together quite nicely so good job. It is seven because you could have made it flow more nicely and made it a bit longer, also a bit more intresting things with the guitar would have helped.

Thank you - Would have loved more variation myself, but seeing as EJAY MD Gold only uses pre-made samples primarily, I didn't have much to work with - Still love it though ;)

"Nice."

date: December 21, 2008

It was nice and deep, flowed well. Overall, a good ambience sound. The slow, drone like guitars were really good. Very emotive piece, I liked all the progression of instruments. Keep up the good work.

Kind regards -
Sirtom93.
