Firstly, I'd like to thank Jonathon Coulton for creating such an incredibly haunting song that, for some reason or other, gets in your head and doesn't leave. So, to attempt to satiate my love for this song, I made my own alternative rock cover. I hope you enjoy it as much as those of you who've enjoyed the game Portal.

For lyrics, Google has tons of lyrics sites for his songs, so you don't need me to type them here.

I understand that a few spots my vocals got rusty, but I don't think it's excruciating to listen to, so I'm not going to worry about it.

Actually, I liked it so much, I took this song and the original in audacity and perfectly synched them, in pitch and timing, and was wondering if you'd let me release it here. Of course I'll give you credit for it, and I'm not using it for profit or anything.

I remember, a couple years ago, a buddy of mine sent me the original to this song. All I said was "What the hell? This is some creepy stuff, dude." you know... that little robotic voice thingie?
I think the song was from Half-Life or something like that.

Anyway I'm a rock fan so I actually liked this version better. The vocals are a good variation of the original, adding your own "flavour" to it, plus altered it to match the rock mood rather than the original, which had a different mood.

I didn't listen to the original and this around the same time so I don't know how well the instruments were matching, but it sounds like a good rock match to the techno-ey sound from the original.

I thought about doing a rock version of the "Anti-Koopa song" from the Mario Bros. movie that most people hate, but I love it only because I loved it as a kid.

Thanks though. I just wish my vocals were a bit less sloppy in a few spots.
