(Starts suddenly!)
A song that was formed when I was trying to make a theme for the Hockey Night in Canada Theme song they were having. Idea after idea after idea failed me. Nothing worked, nothing felt "right".
After 2 weeks of fruitless struggle and 25 failed projects later, I decided enough was enough. Completely throwing restraint out the window I started slamming down melody after melody. Swarming them together without caring if it was going to work out or not. Hundreds of patterns and melodies were smashed to each other, bled and nearly all of them died as quickly as they were formed.
After what felt like forever, I had something that could work. Something that had potential. Though it was buried in a mountain of bloated and disgusting melodic corpses, I threw them aside and picked up the voice I was hearing.
I had found it! The idea, the structure that could work! Developing it, refining it, breaking it, remolding it. Another week passed, and at last, this short short song was fully finished. I had to remove a lot of the pointless angry melodies, so it sounds a lot more restrained now.
An old friend came over and helped put some more meaning behind the madness shortly before the submission date. I am grateful for his assistance. Though the additions were few, they were inspiring and helped mold this song in a great way.
The computer could not handle the load after a certain point, so sadly this song for now, must end here.
I hope you enjoy my moment of insanity. I hope I never go there again.
