Just a little original videogame loop to tantalize the tastebuds. Haven't submitted music for a while, and this just came to me. I messed about with some weird shit here, and I'm pretty fucking pleased about the result from the 3/4 hours I took to make this track. Everything originated from FL studio samples. 8 in total, if you count a sliced drum loop as one. Each instrument had just the one pattern, no automation, just FL effects and a bitcrusher. I pitchbended one sample, chucked one real low for amience, got some retro sounding samples in there, added reverbs, delays, random shit, anything and everything, bitcrushed the drums, bitcrushed the string sample, messed about with the whole lot and then chucked it into audacity where I cut off the remainder (echoes etc.) and stuck it on the front. Changed the overall sound quality to 16-bit for that extra VG sound, and I've been listening to this on loop while it uploads. A bit more modern than 8-bit, a bit more retro than modern, this track was a fun little track, with some funky rhythms, syncopated basslines, improv type melodies, enjoy, and good night. As you can see from the fucking awful wall of text, I need some sleep. :)

"Generic Action Game title screen"

Not bad, yeah, the loudness is offsetting, the type of loud sounds that pains the ears, too scratchy.
Other than that, nice work.

I love the overpowered, bitcrushed feel the whole song has. Its like a wall of sound... love it.

Quite loud overall, but it was fun to listen to.With many variations for a loop. Great main melody. And the loop worked excellently. Just needs to be toned down on the bass. Good job though

It seems to be a nice track, but it's buried underneath the loudness of the sound. It nearly blasted my speakers away and everything sounds overpowerd because of the loudness.

The loop is done perfectly, which is always a good thing for video game tracks. ^^

You should try to sort out the sound problems (lower the volume a bit) and try to get a cleaner sound. Then you have a great track.

Author's Response:

Seriously, I didn't notice the overall volume was a problem. Maybe I've just got my speakers turned a little low... but other songs on the NGAP don't seem all that quiet by comparison...
I don't know. Thanks for the review. I'm glad you like the loopablilty of the track. There was a little echo at the end, so it could have easily have sounded cut off or lose the beat at the end, but a quick cut/paste job in audacity did the trick. ;D
