A cover of the Brillaitn"Save A Prayer" by Duran Duran. The special thing about this track is that it was;
A) All played by hand, including drums and;
B) Produced only using a Casio VL-1 and a set of Mattel Synsonics Drums.

The drums go out of sync now and then, but those things are hard to play. You have to strike the pad with such force it's unreal.
All the sounds in this apart from the 'Violin' Pre-set are were programmed by me using the ADSR function of the VL-1. The only effects applied to the instruments are the fruity-delay, the fruity-reverb, the Parametric EQ and the Multi-band Compressor. A Fruity-Limiter is also on the master track.

Enjoy the song.
Constructive criticism is welcomed and appreciated.

EDIT: Fixed the Drums

Nice :)

I keep meaning to get around to putting together a track using my VL-Tone hahaha!

The midi retrofit for it looks pretty tasty as well :D

Anyway, love your tunes dude. I love reading the writeups whilst listening to the tracks and hunting for the synths you used :)

i like it

not good enough to download. add a heavy bass beat, and some kind of non-synthetic instrument.

benanderson responds:

1) Get a subwoofer
2) It's electronic music... duh.
