"Very, Very, Cool."

This song is so smooth, yet so epic. You've heard those instrument tons of times in different songs, but they sound very different here. The way it builds is amazing. It sounds like some epic hero drug trip, with asian touches. The ending was very strong compared to the rest, but still calm. When it loops, you don't feel it started again, you feel it's continuing. It's amazing.

I'm really happy that you like this so much. It always makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside when people say good things about my songs :) The whole "smooth power" idea was sort of my goal with this song, and I'm really happy to hear that I've achieved it. Thanks a bunch for the review! Happy listening!

"Wow! It's great."

I really like the way it builds and then lays back and then builds even more. Then that half a bar with nothing but the pad and a snare drum around 1:24. . . and then, wham, you're back into it in what seems to be a half bar too soon - that is such a HOOK!
Good job weaving the various sounds. How did you get different instruments to sound more out front at different times? Volume? Compression? Velocity?
The ending is also way cool. Keep up the good work UT.

Author's Response:

Hehe, I always love comments like tis :) I put the different instruments in the "front" of the song using three different things: I messed around with the velocity so that the sounds I wanted to stand out had a little more force to them. The second thing I did was mess around with the panning. I set he song up so that the instrument's panning would change throughout the song, moving instruments from the background (center pan) to contrast with the panning of the rest of the instruments (extreme left or right). The last thing I did was whenever I wanted to make a sound stand out, I had that instrument do something complicated while everything else was in a sort of "stand by" state. I'm really happy that you liked the song :) Thanks for the review, Cap'n.

"It's good but..."

It's not really close to D&B, it's slow and the drums aren't that pounding or variating through the song, It would be better in a different genre since it ís quite a good song, if you don't know where to put it, go for Misc.
