I was inspired to make this ReMix after listening to somebody else's arrangement of the same theme, the Castle from Super Mario World. Like many others I've been a huge fan of the series' music for some time, but that particular theme is one of the most dark and exciting songs in any of the games, in my opinion. Even moreso than Bowser in Super Mario 64.

Anyway, the mix uses everything but the kitchen sink... huge custom synths, guitars, symphonic orchestra, church organ, you name it. I really wanted to bring out that ominous feel of the Castle theme and then amplify it further. Hope you enjoy it!

there was one thing that made me feel weird, at one point it kinda sounded like the phantom of the opera O.O, but overall, this song would apply to almost anything monstrous

A great creepy music!

I say it's great. And i say it's creepy. This music really makes me imagine Bowser and his kids really, but really horrible, and worse than bad XD.
You perfectly got the "thing" with this, remixing the Castle music of Super Mario World :D.

I dont know, it just didnt have the great listenabiity that your other songs have. I honestly think that you should stick with your original work and not worry about video game remixes

zirconmusic responds:

Thanks for the comments. However, I starting producing music because of video game remixes and I've made dozens to date and directed the most successful VG remix project ever, Voices of the Lifestream ( - so I don't think I'll quit that anytime soon :)
