I was inspired to make this ReMix after listening to somebody else's arrangement of the same theme, the Castle from Super Mario World. Like many others I've been a huge fan of the series' music for some time, but that particular theme is one of the most dark and exciting songs in any of the games, in my opinion. Even moreso than Bowser in Super Mario 64.

Anyway, the mix uses everything but the kitchen sink... huge custom synths, guitars, symphonic orchestra, church organ, you name it. I really wanted to bring out that ominous feel of the Castle theme and then amplify it further. Hope you enjoy it!

EPIC!!!!!

All that i have to say is; that I love it when my favorite songs make back into the top 150. Zircon, keep up this stuff it is beyond what should be remixed, it is better than some of the others here on newgrounds and on any other site!

great

there was one thing that made me feel weird, at one point it kinda sounded like the phantom of the opera O.O, but overall, this song would apply to almost anything monstrous

Good lord, man

This is an excellent remix of the Castle theme. It started off spooky, and got pretty musically intense around 1:16. LOVED the little breakdown at 1:42. Felt very in keeping with a 16-bit world. At around 2:58, I actually thought to myself "Damn, that's... pretty good, actually." Also, the ending was perfect. I loved this. Keep up the good work. 10/10, 5/5.
