I was inspired to make this ReMix after listening to somebody else's arrangement of the same theme, the Castle from Super Mario World. Like many others I've been a huge fan of the series' music for some time, but that particular theme is one of the most dark and exciting songs in any of the games, in my opinion. Even moreso than Bowser in Super Mario 64.

Anyway, the mix uses everything but the kitchen sink... huge custom synths, guitars, symphonic orchestra, church organ, you name it. I really wanted to bring out that ominous feel of the Castle theme and then amplify it further. Hope you enjoy it!

This song is so much better than that one currently on the Top 30. The most important part of the original was the summit, and your version does the summit perfectly.

If only it sounded like this in the game.

Of course given the capability of the SNES...
Anyway, I love this song. So many different noises and instruments put together but in a way that works. This song is just really epic... I mean what isn't epic about a big church organ?!
I didn't like the thunder the first time I heard it though.... but only because I thought it was real thunder from outside.
Anyway, great work.

Majestic! This should be submitted to Nintendo.

This is hands-down, THE best remix of the castle theme for Super Mario World. It definitely stands out as one of the best songs ever composed by Koji Kondo, but you have managed to perfect it for new generations.

Congratulations on your mixing talents. You have a good ear. This belongs right up there with Nintendo's own remix of this song played in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. In fact, i think it's better than that short one they did. Yours should be used for a future Mario game. It's too good a song for Nintendo to let go of.

I am going to use this for a boss fight in my next game, Slappy The Walrus. Its about a homicidal walrus who eat children. So anyway, I L O V E D this song. The mixing was very proffesional and the best really was awesome. Also, this really took me back to the years I spent playing mario Time Machine. *A little known game that was used for educational purposes on the MAC in 1996. It was very crappy, but the music was awesome*

Silly turtles, only vulnerable to head shots.

Has to be one of my favorite mario castle remix songs, specifically from 0:28 to 1:44 and from 2:30 to 3:27. The only thing that really bothered me was the name, lol, just because, although once you think about it it does actually mix in with the mario theme, but most people that were looking for mario songs wouldn't look at this one because th ename makes it sound like a stupid joke. Also, the parts that I think are the best would have to be 1:25 - 1:44 and 3:10 - 3:27.

Thanks for the feedback! The name is actually a line from the Super Mario World instruction manual. It's what Luigi exclaims at one point. "Monstrous Turtles!"
