Walt Whitman eh?

I went to Northwest. Although the beginning is wrong in areas, I still enjoyed it.

It reminds me of the hunt!

It's very hard to believe this is a high school orchestra. it reminds me of my old school, when the marching band played this song (But I like this version better, the reverb is a lot nicer)

And what I love is that in some parts you can just see the roots to the original movie.
The solo-type part at 2:oo was very nicely done, and I love the lead in to the percussion. And following that, at 2:08 with the off-beat pulses, You all did a very nice job, and kept the awkward rhythm sounding that way, but making it much cooler.
But I do agree, the instruments at the beginning section could use a little tuning... The timing isn't quite right for that on-edge feeling, and if there were a more, well "murky" part later in the song that required that instrument, then the notes would sound just right. However, it's usually very awkward to start this kind of song and genre with notes like that, and it feels a little like a false lead in. But other than that, it wasn't too bad. If you want to go that extra step though, it would completely polish the song.

And so, I'll give you a nine, but in your mind you can count it as a ten if you just fine tune it, okay?
