A fast paced song that reminds me a bit of a anime opening music theme.
It wasn't intentional. It slowly changes into a more IDM vibe at the end. Enjoy

stop using amen breaks people.

Pretty damn good man. There is some really good with this, And some really bad with this too.

My creative critique?

the good:

I REALLY got into the groove around 1:15 when the smoother drums came in.
I dug the shit out of the groovy synth line and that really low bassy organ sound. It was almost autechre-esk with its construction. The breakdown/chorus at 3:00 was genius too, it fit really well. But I think it could have a bit more thickness in the percussive tracks.

the bad:

everything after 1:10 was the redeeming factor, because I'm really not feeling the amen break in the beginning. This song sounded so unique aside from the loop in the beginning. My first impression was just "oh another half-assed breakcore loop for 3 minutes" but then I completely came around after that. And you have to remember... The first minute of your music can be crucial for your listeners, If someone gets bored after the first bit, Chances are they won't care to check out the rest.

My advice?

SO MANY GOOD things about this song, But the arrangement and intro are dragging down its potential. This could be one of my favorite tracks, But only 2/3 or the track are good.

I suggest dropping intro. you have the talent to have a very unique sound, that will set you apart, but you lost that when you used the most recycled drum loop of all time. Don't allow someone to throw your talent into the "frequent amen-break user bin" Honestly there is probably 10,000 albums out there all using the amen break, its had its use. anything you could do with it has been done, and done better by someone else.

-one more thing....

I wouldn't be writing this if I didn't think you had the talent to make an IDM masterpiece. Your synth use if very original and the melodies are hypnotic. The beats work great, have a few flaws but still enough that I can chill out too.

this song was actually good enough to get me to write this long-ass review, so remember that :P

Thank you very much for expressing your opinion of my song.
Yess I do know that dnb loop is ridiculously familiar but I couldn't help myself I've been trying to make some fast pace stuff but lack the knowledge to make my own Dnb. or maybe I"m just not using the right program when it comes to that.
but thank you I'm not sure but I may be taking a break from making music the usual route and try something more in the free style. Or simply something that isn't IDM. When I'm ready I'll comeback though. Thank you
