Couldn't sleep a few nights ago, so here's another song. Yay for 3xOsc. Hmm, maybe I should do one for every hour of the morning...

Quality is low because it's just so darn long.

Very superb

I wish to use this when I get around to the solo backgrounds collaboration I'm planing.

This tune could actually use drums, like idm/ambient. Then you'd have an actually different piece XD.
I might want to use this to make something more, if that would be alright to use this piece. Let me know.

Peaceful

That felt really very relaxing, Rig. The song could use some more instruments, though. Also, I feel this song was a little repetitive. Overall, 9/10 4/5!

Yes!

This is the type of music I like to listen to in the middle of the night while I'm writing my stories. My stories are extremely long, so when I'm writing a scene it's nice to have music long enough to cover it entirely. This song and "Monastery" are pretty much the only songs I have that work well enough. You make great ambience!

My only complaint is that it seemed to end suddenly. Of course, after nine and a half minutes of soundscape, any silence is going to be sudden. I just didn't feel like it resolved itself well enough. Although the opening it loops to does a nice job with that... I just liked the way you ended Monastery with a lead up to a final chord... maybe I'm just being too picky.

Anyway, I love the song. Very nice sound, I might try this myself sometime. :)

Keep up the good work!

Yeah, I know what you mean. I kinda liked the unresolved ending feel, though.
Thanks for the review! It's great to hear that my music helps people :3

great!

great ambient piece Rig! Beautiful texture here man, would work great as a backdrop to a videogame when youre in some large, barren area. It so relaxing, and I like the short dissonance parts here and there, awesome flow of notes.

if anything, i'd be too lazy to do it but maybe automating the LFO speed a bit would give the flow of the textures more variety, as the swelling patterns were quite predictable.

i would like to know how you did this? how much 3xosc's did you layer and what the hell effects did you use to get these textures so freakin lush? doesnt sound like your standard reverb and chorus sounds.

totally quixotic man

Rig responds:

LFOs on LFOs? Good idea, I'll try that out next time.

It's just one instance of 3xOsc. The real magic lies in GlaceVerb, an amazing free reverb plugin. I highly recommend it - it's amazing!

mmmm

very calm and atmospheric
Sounds great in the background while I'm doing homework, it makes math seem much more epic than it actually is
I really like around 6:55 when that bassy instrument comes in, really gives the song a powerful dark feel
Sounds fantastic all around :D

Rig responds:

Why thank you. It's all just 3xOsc with some reverb and stuff, lol
Let me know how your math homework goes!
