I was contacted about a week ago by a woman that needed a couple of classical tunes for some show she's hosting. I wasn't her first choice since most of the stuff I do is... well you know edm. But I'm "cheaper than a legit pro and I can deliver some good tunes" she said. well, she didn't take all the songs, this being one of it. it's not pure classical I supose, but I guess it's worth putting here for anybody who might want another song to listen to.

that said, she was right about me not being a pro with this genre. I hope I didn't make any mistakes with this one, though maybe she didn't take it because there was something wrong with it. or maybe it didn't fit her mood. heck I don't even know what the show is about mostly. she was pretty vague about it. heh, she's a pretty vague "artist" too I guess. (a lot of people refer to her as a great artist, but hardly anyone heard of her around here, meh... cash is cash).

anyway, uhm, enjoy and criticise. I'm curious really what you people think of it.

Nice slow track....

I like this song. The melody is nice and slow through most of it, but it's got a cool drum n' bass sound to it with a cool classical sound to boot. This almost seems like a song that could be used in a drama or something. Seriously, despite your lack of "being good" in this genre, I think it came out well. Maybe it doesn't fit the genre right, but without the constraint of following a certain genre, I'd say it's good. Seems like a hybrid song to me. I give it a 9 out of 10. Nice work.

nice,

You are a great composer, but the fact that you arent too familer with this genre shows through. the peice was very good, only a few little things that could be changed to have it fit more in the genre. first the beat. in classical music drums are used less to keep rythem then to counterpoint and add flair to a melody. you used all synth intruments, which is fine, but when they are all played over a pad the sound is not very classical. lastly one of my favorite parts of the peice was around 2:40 i though you really captured something good there. So basically, very good piece, just a few little tweaks to imrove it.

Well when back when I made the original, it didn't have any drums and pads weren't present. I added those, because... well just because I wanted to. :)

:) I like

Nice use of sounds, the first thing that pops in my mind as a respond to your own comment *what is proffesional* the only difference between an amateur and a pro is that a pro makes money with what he is doing, but heej, I think you did more then a great job. Keep up the good work, you know what you are doing.
