Okay now, this can still be classed as a demo 'cause I'm not sure that, that stupid ass supersaw didn't fuck the whole thing up. I also want to add more length to the song because 4 minutes isn't enough. I'm sorry to everyone that I dissapointed with this song, I know I did. The mixing isn't above par and it just basically sucks because after the supersaw comes in, the song turns into crap. Looks like I am going to be working on this one a bit more. Big thanks to Karco for the help with the bass.

P.S. Dedicated to a special someone, you know who you are ;)

dude, the mixiing isn't that bad, it doesn't sound irreparable or anything. everything seems to come out more or less clearly, but everything just seems biased to the treble. the supersaw [or whatever you wanna call it] didn't change a whole lot to the mix, it just didn't sound very deep since it was so frickin trebly.

my perscription: if you hate yourself, set all the mixer levels to their initial positions and work from there. add EQ's as you see fit. don't use a biased soundsystem.

but from this, it sounds like probably the most major thing is lowering the level of the high ends of the percussion [hats, jingles & janglessss] a little would help, bringing up the bassline a bit [and maybe making it a bit grittier :)]

bass drum sounds pretty loud in the mix right now, so maybe lower it a tad. also, this maybe might sound better [but maybe not], but try raising the bass levels on ur bass drum a little [not a lot, this part sounds fine already, but just for shaking walls purposes :)] and bring down the superhigh frequencies a little down [but not a whole lot--i want texture too.] it might work out to something more intense. maybe try layering it with a longer sample as the song develops just to make it blisteringly intense. yeah.

clap sounds good but maybe bring it up a tad, gets lost when the bass drum comes in. the highpass on it is fine, but maybe try allowing a little more of the lower frequencies, because it sounds a little tinny and _might_ [key word] sound better if it isnt.

sfx in background are turtly fine. no problem there. they come out clear and solid.

so yea, ur mix isn't very bad. it just sounds a little tinny. but everything comes out clearly, and its not like its unlistenable. at least, to me.

in terms of everything else, rock solid! your melodies work together and the song progresses while keeping my attention. it changed enough to not get boring, but not so much to sound chaotic, so i think u struck a balance here.

good job overall, stop being a depressed tard :)

[OH I BET THE DEDICATION IS TO ME AND MY HAWTNESS. WHY THANK YOU!]

"not bad at all"

date: August 19, 2008

this inst bad. the zzshh noise could be removed at the begginning. it sounds better when its mixed with other sounds. i like that awesome aqua sound and the bass. both are sytrus i think. am i right? also later in the song with the elctric noise its really awesome!

Author's Response:

Aqua sound is a sytrus preset that I modified and the bass is a Nexus sample that Karco taught me how to manipulate to make it sound like the bass from Carl B - Chasing Leaves (I did it wrong though). The electric noice.. the pad? Is just a Nexus sample.
