Sorry but this song is a victim of The Loudness War too. You'll just have to deal with it. It's an alternative rock version of the Twilight Princess Lost Woods theme. The sweeping pad-like guitar sound was made using a spectrum equalizer. Also lots of dynamic dub delay for the lead guitars. And I stress dynamic.

Original Composition: Koji Kondo (Composed just about all the music for the Legend of Zelda games)
Remix: DmNt

Love the Zelda games, and I always come on here looking for great remixes. You--my friend--have made an excellent remix.

"fucking sweet"

date: August 14, 2008

sounds great where did you get your sounds?

Author's Response:

For this particular song, I used:

Bass Drum - Fl Studio Real Drumkits pack, and Hip-Hop pack
Snare Drum - Tama Ambassador and Ludwig Aluminum
Hats - Titey Kit and Zildjian
Ride - Zildjian
Crash - Zildjian and Gretsch
Toms - Tama StarClassic

Bass - Boobass
Rhythm Guitar - Sytrus
Lead Guitars - Slayer Version 1

Please note that I have dramatically mixed them, so they sound quite different in this final version than their native sounds.

"Default Guitars?"

date: August 14, 2008

Sounds like the lead guitars are the default FL Slayer in FLStudio, are they?
I like it though. Good job.

Author's Response:

Well, if by default you mean that I used presets, then you would be right. But that definatly isn't the default Slayer. Of course, Slayer (version 1) sounds very similar no matter how you tune it. To be honest, I would love to get some high quality Direct Wave stuff, or a real guitar, but that of course costs lots of money, and FL Studio was already expensive as it is lol. Still it would be nice. The advantage of having those high-quality Direct Wave sounds is that you don't even have to know how to mix (or what you're evening doing) to make something sound good! The concept of it angers me at first, but then I realize: hey, that's how the music industry is -- no talent gets the high horse. I ought to rant about it somewhere else! Sorry for putting you through that little nerd rage, lol
