Phoenix Chronicles - Episode 6 "Runaway" (Early Song Release)

What can be better than episode 5? EPISODE 6!
Dedicated to PearlPhoenix for being an awesome friend. :) And no the series was not named after her, but she did help make the decision in the call sign naming as she's always been a MW fan. You can see her art on DeviantArt and her own site PearlPhoenixSun.com. This one's for you lass!

Enjoy! :D

The story continues (BattleTech Genre):

It turns out the captured pirates were actually hired by the same mercenary unit as Phoenix, meaning only one thing, she was setup for a grab and ditch. Now artillery and laser fire is coming from her unit's dropship directly at her and the lance mates. Running time! (0:12) "Jettison your weapons NOW!" she screams to her lance mates. Parts fall (0:26) and shatter the ground as the two heavies jettison their gear. Phoenix's 'Mech was already built for speed, but not the two land pigging lancemates. "Hard Left! Hard Left!" she screams again (0:34) as the three evasively get behind a building to dodge the line-of-site fire. "Keep Running!" (0:51) she yells over the coms as they near the max range of the fire (1:05.) (1:16) They all reached the end of the massive starport and continue running as the dropship preps and lifts off into orbit. "Great, now we're stuck here. What the hell?" she asked. "Welcome to being a merc lass," her lance mate responded.

Stay tuned for episode 7!

You said it'd be a long wait...

...but this is a great addition. Not as actiony as the others, but it turns the plot in an odd direction!

Now the music, quite a step up from the systematic repetition of the other episodes, but you still managed to grab the old school mechwarrior feel to the music that we can remember from any of the other games.

I can't wait to listen to all 14 episodes together. Keep up the awesome work!

Amazing

This is the kind of music is aspire to write. Can't think of any constructive criticism, so I'm just letting you know I loved the song! What VSTs are you using?

Masterpiece

I know how damn hard it is combining these kinds of instruments and give this movie-theme feeling. And you just did that. Very amazing. I'm stunned and jealus. 10/10.

Draqo responds:

Combining varying instruments especially electronic 8-bit/16-bit synths with real orchestral strings was very difficult. This song tops my over-listening with 3 hours playing it over and over just to hear it.

Thanks for the review. :D
