Hello, warrior.

There are lots of different elements to this song sort of weaving together here and there .. it really does feel like we're traveling through a country of star-cities, really. Each one is different than the next, but still retains the same flavor.

I can close my eyes and see the lights -- and that's all I want from a song.

That, and epic 8-bit.

Woo! Can't wait to listen to more stuff!

LLAAPPSSEE responds:

Heh heh, 8-bit is really great. You should check out a musician by the name of "Disasterpeace". Shoot a search in Google. I'm truly sure you fall in one of the greatest and most phenomenal loves of your life. He's got some amazingly epic, beautiful and poetic tracks.

This song was fun. Combing some varied elements and influence.

The Reason Why Someone Wouldn't Be Impressed

The part from 0:00-0:05 is disgusting. The notes feel weird. Anyway. Yeah I guess at the beginning the drums and 8-bit were a little empty. But dude, I DUG the guitar parts. The 8Bit seemed to overcome the song a little more than I liked it to have, didn't exactly "mesh", but that's cool. Seriously, those guitar solos were awesome. Nice job with this song, it turned out pretty sweet.

LLAAPPSSEE responds:

Five disgusting seconds, eh? Good? or Bad? Like, "That's sick bro?", haha...

Someone else was saying the guitar overpowers the 8-bit. Guess different things grab the attention. Glad you liked the guitar. I like the more chilled elements of it. Never really done much guitar solo-y stuff like that. I kinda felt it was a bit slop. Was fun though...Still learnin'.

Thanks!

=)!!!

That was very good but I think this track could use some more overdubbing and more variation in the drums.

LLAAPPSSEE responds:

I am glad you liked it. Variation in the drums?! Haha, this is one of my 'lighter' drum beat tracks, haha, as i am a breakcore/idm/glitch artist : P
Which is why the drums weren't really that intense, so i was trying for something a bit more simple?

Good Job.

At the very beginning there I wasn't too impressed, but I figured to listen to the whole thing before I got to voting it.

I must say I'm surprised! This song wasn't predictable (which is hard to find), everything new that came was unexpectedly different from what I expected. You've got a good song here.

It doesn't hit me as astounding, but you did good. Keep up the good work. :)

LLAAPPSSEE responds:

Really? Whys that?

Thank you. I was hoping it was a bit unpredictable. I guess i succeeded there. I like the overall turn out - i'll go back and tweak some things though. Mainly the guitar towards the middle.

Not astounding? I'm sorry. Hey, at least its not a midi rip and its all original. Bah-haa

I don't think the first reviewer gets the idea behind 8bit music...But, to be honest, some of the guitar stuff seemed harsher & more dissonent than the Game Boy sounds, to me. Not a bad song, but perhaps a bit on the long side. I'm not sure. It may work as a jammin' sort of thing.

LLAAPPSSEE responds:

I don't think so either, oh well. There was only one part in the song were i really wanted the dissonance to be. That was the guitar at about 2:02. I just wanted it to build up that section very harshly then end on the lighter side of the song. Cant win 'em all i guess. This was my first attempt with 8-bit. I plan on making more centered around space-based imagery.
