"beat-heavy battle-music. Works, but not for dancin"

The whole thing works pretty well, with the background melody and the slower foreground melody matching up nicely. The beats were really 'full' and the whole thing was fun.

I've not played FF8, but I'm guessing the beats and the repeating melody are the main things you added.

The start/end are kinda abrupt. I mean there's no lead-in to the beats with an opening melody-only bit or any softer beats. You just switch from that wind noise to the beats, making for an abrupt change.

At 0:57, I liked the drop-off in 'aggression'. here we can really hear the repeating melody and the tune you play here - as well as 2:25 really betrays its computer-game roots.

The noise at 1:25 was pretty cool and loved the reemergence of the harder beat shortly after.

The repeating melody did get a bit repetitive after a while though.

And whilst this might be a great melody for battle-music, I felt like it jus wasn't getting me up to dance - something I do when a tune really hits my sweet spot. Maybe having such a slow melody on top contributed to that.

And if you wanted it to be battle music, maybe the ideal thing would have been to have it loop?

I enjoyed it but can't imagine a perfect setting to listen to this.

I definatly can "feel" the Final Fantasy in this tune. But the beat is too heavy, I guess. Normally Final Fantasy tracks are more "melody driven", while this song is more "beat driven" (I hope you get what I mean...).

With that heavy beat and the light melodies it sounds very much like some soundtrack from 80s action movies (starring Hulk Hogan or similar 80s stars ^^).

Overall, it's a nice track.

"I like the theme"

I not played FF8 so im not familair with the tune.

Well this is a great tune the song, is very good. The trance is here and i like the beats ,i can hear. The tune is video game feel ,with the arcade feel. The 1.28 is nice i like the slight mix ,of the tune. Its changes at parts of the tune. The sound is good its fast, and fun. The sound is funky. I think it improves at is play no, real dull parts its all good. The fianle is a good one.

No real flaws i guess i dont know the tune as mentioned.

Ovreall a funky tune.

It's not a bad take on Final Fantsy, but I think that you need to tone the beat down a little - they rarely show this sort of pounding beat and this one is starting to get on my nerves a little after about 5 plays.

Would this be a normal fight or a special one - personally, I think it's a bog-standard fight that you come across while walking around the local area. Could be useful for certain people making games or movies around this sort of genre, so keep at it.

good beat, with many levels of pitch going at the same time, an interesting combination perfect for a fast paced movie or game
