I think Newgrounds can bear to have just one more cover of Paranoid. I made this to test out and get familiar with my new recording equipment, PLUS it's a damn good song. Vocals are absent on purpose. For some reason, the MP3s Cakewalk uses are not a valid MP3 format, so I had to use another program, Sony Acid Works, to sumbit the song, so the quality suffered a bit, but it's still good to my ears.

Equipment used:
Cakewalk Sonar 7
Gearbox
LTD EX-50
Squier 5-string
Black Sabbath Greatest Hits

So, don't forget to rate and leave a comment, they will be much appreciated!

"Not bad, dude."

I think it could have been a little faster, maybe 10 BPM, but that's probably just me.
I'm used to listening to the Megadeth version, lawl.
The bass sounds pretty good, but it could use a little compression, some notes are quite a bit louder than others.
I don't much like the way the drums sound, either; the bass isn't loud enough and the samples just sound thin and wimpy.
But that's something that's pretty easily remedied, so I didn't count off for that.
Overall, it's a good cover of a legendary song.
Kudos.

Author's Response:

Was it the snare? I thought it was too loud and annoying, but I submitted it to see if anyone else had anything similar or different to say, thanks for the feedback! As for the speed, I went by the actual song and played it at that speed. The "thin and whimpy" is a damn good example of "too digital." I used Gear Box for the guitar, which is why it sounds like shit, too bad I found out too late after I bought the damn thing. Nice to know someone has a good ear out there.
