"none too shabby"

you should whack the default compressor on the master bus and pull the value on the fader to a little under 79% cause there's some mad clipping when you start to lowpass filter everything.

I very rarely use reverb on bass drums or bassey instruments in general, but if you leave it on here then i'd suggest pulling the low cut value to somewhere like 500Hz. reverbing low frequencies can make an otherwise clean mix start to get very messy.

did you had extra treble to those hats? they seem extra thin and toppy.

i really like the warm pads and the wide bassline. could use a fair bit more variation on the whole but this is some nice ambient tech backing music at the moment.

keep it up :)

Author's Response:

Yeah, true.
The hats were a special pack and I added a special FX to them and stuff. A stereo enhancer. Some sort of EQ, I'm sure. I dunno. I toy around with it a lot.
I'm glad you enjoyed it, though.

"Awesome"

That's some heavy kick ass dark dance song. Great work, I love it. It gets a little repetitive but who cares, it's a dance song. Keep up the good work.

"interesting...not"

is this from the movie i saw called "locked submission". i dont remember it being in there. well i liked the band My Chemical Romance and stuff. they were alright. so yeah what im feeling right now in ur song is a chase thing. wait a sec... did u put this in the dance genre...WTFLOL? umm im confused.. its repeating to much and getting annoying by the first like minute. the bassline does get old. im sry axeFX but that is a zzz... and the samples used were horrible... not something i would download. and the filtering job was... how can i say this... a bullet to my ears. i really dont understand this song. its just repeats and repeats. like i want to delete this... the movie was good omg, but this.... wow. not good. epic fail...
u might want to do more with the bassline and get new samples and like stop repeating the same thing over and over and over and over and over... it gets annoying like that... and over and over. whatever dood.

Aww, is someone a bit mad?
Good job at making yourself a fool. =]
You see, my review I left you, was full of help and shit like that. I like to give a feel for who I am and such, so you can understand a bit about what I'm saying. I saw the guy below me that left a comment talking about the movie Twilight, so I figured the song was from there. I have no seen the movie, though.
You made yourself look like an ass. Poor, poor show.

hmm k. I gotta say that acid bassline at the beginning is real sick. I think you need better drum samples (hit me up, I can help with that). I also think if you want to please the listeners, you need to lessen the amount of effects (filter cut off n shit). I would agree with the review below me that the silence didnt quite work.
This song is just for fun tho, so I would say good job on it... I'm sure somebody could use it for a flash. Like a cutscene where the badguys are taunting the good guys LOL.

"Pretty Good"

date: January 2, 2009

I would say this is pretty different from most dance songs i've heard and gives a nice dark element to it.
The start is good and carries on mostly the same throughout the song with some more dark elements put in there here and there.
However, i didn't like the complete silence you had there at 1:43, i know what you were trying to get but i think it still should've had a little something. Something quiet like a quiet and ambient pad.
I don't specialise in Dance and Techno so i could be talking a load of crap.
Now to some other songs of yours!

Author's Response:

Oh shit, man. Yeah, I know. I don't like the entire silence, either, but I'm not quite sure what I could do to make the transition smooth. I kinda want to remove everything and just chill with a beat so people get a beat buzz, then out of nowhere they get the melody and it's like BOOM!
Thanks man.
You don't have to get another if you don't want, but shit man, thanks. =]
