Here's my MAC08 Entry, Circuits of Sorrow. I'm not positive this is in the right genre.. electro-classical perhaps?

After a bit of listening and thinking, I decided to move this to the Video Game genre, as it sounds more like something from an RPG (I was thinking Golden Sun) and it probably makes more sense here than in classical. I didn't edit the song any.. just changed the genre classification.

Oh well, anyway.. enjoy.. drop your 5s.. reviews.. all that fun stuff.

I love the mood to the song, the transitions are perfectly... abrupt? Bad word for it it but I can't seem to describe it. It works in my mind, like a missing puzzle piece. Good job man.

Yes, this would be a great theme for blasting fluffy. Demented? Probably.. but that's the way it went.. lol. Thanks for the review!

"not bad out all:)"

For the mac however i don't think it would of worked all to well. Its got more of a scary feeling to it then a sad feeling (i'm sure thats what mac08 was right? the emotional-sad- songs?) its not bad at all however. I DO enjoy how you've added the "ahh's" in and such. At about 1:43 i think you could of substituted the (for lack of better word) basey sound for something else.. Its not a bad digital instrument to use i don't know, just doesn't sound like it would fit for this.. Either way as the song goes on it does blend in so maybe i'm wrong ^_~ Either way as i've said before man keep on it. I'll be listening to more of your stuff in the future i'm sure of it! Much luv and keep it up! Oh, and congrats on the top 5.

Child killer much?

But alternativesolution is right. Not so much sorrowful, as much as sinister.

Me likey. Pizzicato with the choir feels oh so right.

But your choice of synth at 1:23... eh. It's a very abrupt change. The pizzicato synth with it doesn't work too well, there's a few sour notes. But I think you were going for that, right?

However, when you add the gated synth, that's a very nice touch.

Though I could imagine a gone-crazy robot going through town, dancing, and killing the shit out of everything without trying.

It's a fun image.

Author's Response:

Perhaps the little evil bit of me leaks in a bit more than expected... especially with emos involved.. yeah.. sinister. It works. Maybe the theme for a guy that sneaks into an emo club with a razor-blade dispenser.

Or a robot apocalypse.. I do like that image as well.

As for the bit of sourness.. yeah.. I wanted to get a bit of dissonance going. And I meant for the change of synth to be very abrupt actually, so I'm glad that came through as it did. Then I wanted it to kinda come together in the end.

It does kinda come off with more of a horror-esque, sinister feel rather than just sadness. Perhaps someone contemplating suicide and finally deciding to off themselves at the end of the song.

Thanks for the review man!
