Standing higher then any other building, the clock tower of the city seems to watch over the townsfolk with an ominous air. It's steady rhythm is accented by the consistent toiling of the figures below, like ants marching to a insubstantial beat. When one voice gets a bit too outspoken for its own good, though, clock hastens its pace as people flee into their homes. The hammering of the clock drives the nail that sticks out back into the board, quickly and without emotion. People poke their heads out, afraid, until slowly but steadily, the people return to their work once more, everything once more in its rightful place.

Didn't work too long on this (two days), but had fun messing with the 14 different loops included here. Please thoughtfully criticize, as I know there could be improvements.

It's great, especially as your first

I feel that you have done very well to suit your story. You can feel the momentum build up before it falls silent.
It feels simple but seeing that is was done in two days, I find that remarkable. Keep it up!
