Alright i've had this one laying around for awhile. I promised myself I would redo this song along time ago and now here it is. This is a remastering of a song i covered waaay back in 2006. This is the navi battle theme from Mega Man Battle Network 6. This remastered version was suggested by DoragonShinzui08. I hope you enjoy the new version!

Here is a link to the old version for reference (its very bad lol): /audio/listen/69883

Massive wall of text for my last review.

This is really an odd case. Your number of instruments is almost exactly equivalent to the number of different sound types you can hear in EXE6 at first glance. The way the instruments are used are almost the same as well, but the main theme has a large number of changes to its flow and and speed in certain areas, barring on almost erratic at times. I also noticed you dropped a few background rythms and changed around a few notes here and there. It's certainly not negative, since it's EXACTLY what EXE5DS did with its soundtrack, and it adds a fresh sense of novelty to the song.

The contrast in instruments embodies the theme quite well, and when considering the way the actual composition sounds, the difference in instruments to further emphasize the contrast is something most people don't think of doing. That is to say, the instruments simply feel like the original GBA instruments touched up a bit due to the lack of a large number of new additions to the background, but the changes to the rythm make the song feel completely different from the original, and said lack of such upbeat background melodies is what made the original feel different from simplistic EXE1~3 or high-tech 4~5's music. It felt beastly in heavy parts, and high-tech in more upbeat areas.

Your instrument selections combined with the changes in rythm really emphasize this song's highs and lows, and I have to say that amongst your remixes it's both the most and least similar to the original theme.

As an artist, I think it's not just about "sounding cool" or being "kickass", it's about "feel" and spirit. Few people realize that. Too many people think about "cool, good, and KICKASS" in terms of critique. And it's precisely the reason why most people can't develop and characters in stories are bland in most cases. It needs energy and spirit that fits with the artistic content in question. Designs, personalities, and actions along with spirit all need to mesh together to create something awesome. You're one of the few people who I think is capable of such artistic thought, regardless of whether or not it's on a subconscoius level. And as such, I think you're one of the few true artists out there. I mean, it's rare to find someone who can take the chaos and harmony of Surge of Power and amplify both without killing the song. You need to have an artistic spirit to be capable of that, and by all that's right, you have it.
