Well, since everyone flippin' hated my previous submission "Red Static", I thought I'd upload the original MIDI from which the newer version came. You can't really blame me for having shitty resources if I'm cranking out MIDIs, which sound the same no matter what you use, right?

PS: Yes, this IS an MP3. I simply recorded it with Audacity.
PPS: Actual reviews are generally more helpful that votes. I like to know what I'm doing right and wrong.

Still Great

I still prefer the Redone version, but the original is also good. The varied melody and strong sense of rythem are still here. This one feels a little weaker, not sure how to describe it. Either way I still think its great, but the redo is a major improvement in my opinion.

Well, it IS General MIDI. Guess which year that tech's from?
...
1991.

Funny, but when I redid it, I went for a super-dry feeling. Dunno why. Somehow, I lost most of the bass' sound doing that--almost like Metallica's "...And Justice for All". So to me, it's slightly weaker than the redone version.
What the problem is, anyway, is that MIDI instruments sound completely flat. All of the distinctive tone is lost. It's charming to me, in a way, since I used to listen to MIDIs almost as much as real audio, but...

Thanks for the review. I WILL keep making them; only problem is, my latest song is a leviathan 8.8 megs. That's .8 more than NG will let anyone upload...

Great for MIDI!!!

If you had Quantum Leap's "Goliath," this would score 100,000,000,000,000%

Awesome stuff dude.

If these were real instruments, you'd be destroying the Audio Portal with your insane music skills.

Too bad I'm not a guitar player then! :D

Thanks much for the review. It's nice to see someone focusing on my WRITING skills rather than my sound quality for once.
