So this is my first of two entries for this month's audio contest. Since the theme deals with sorrow and emotion, I thought; "what better way to represent said emotion with death!"

I also decided to try some story telling with this one (a 'feature' I enjoy of MaestroRage's material):

0:00-1:15
The first part of the piece is actually chronologically last. It is the view of a sea trench, miles below the surface of the water. Embedded in the sand and rock are the remains of an undiscovered shipwreck. As the music grows, the scene transitions from the murky waters to the high seas, where you see the same ship hundreds of years earlier.

1:15-1:46
The ship is captained by a fearless voyager, set on discovering new worlds in the vast ocean. The music describes his ambition.

1:46-2:00
On the horizon, a vessel of pirates emerges and begins gaining on the voyager. The speed of their vessel is too much for the voyager, and he knows if he is going to die, he'd rather die fighting than running. The music becomes dark.

2:00-2:16
As the voyager turns his ship around to face the enemy he begins praying that he will be remembered by all those that he loved.

2:16-END
The battle begins as cannons fire. The voyager attempts to hold off the pirates but it is no use.
The voyager's ship collapses in on itself in a burst of flame and smoke. The voyager has gone down with his ship.
