Another piece I've made using the bare minimum as far as recording equipment goes. I like to pretend the fuzz in the background is maybe the ocean or a strong wind, not the product of poor quality recording.

I do like the way the song turned out, minus fuzz.

EDIT: I just minimized the fuzz as much as possible by rerecording

"Wonderful song, get better tools!"

I love the choice of instruments, it's really light and airy. Has a somewhat medieval feel to it that just seems to work. I wish you could get access to a better mixing program or recording system. Your work would be improved about 1000% with better tools. I did notice what seemed to my ears as miscued notes, perhaps that can be fixed?

Great piece.

Author's Response:

Hey, thanks so much. Yes, I agree, the quality is so low..

Could you suggest some programs or software? Right now I have Cakewalk Home Studio 2002. I have no idea how to use it fully, and don't have all the plug-ins, nor do I have MIDI cables.

Thanks, and best of luck :)

"What is the fuzz...?"

date: July 14, 2008

A very nice piece, very nice indeed, calming and relaxing... Have you recorded this with real instruments then? is that where the fuzz is coming from? if it can not be removed i have a good idea to disguise it.....

Look up a synth program called atmosphere (it's a vst plugin i think)

Theres a fantastic ocean synth in that that sounds like a damn real ocean too, if you have that in the background quietly so you can just hear it, it will blend in with the hiss so it will sound like the ocean :)

Anyways check out my song called Final Goodbye if you get the chance, it's kinda in the same genre as this and has my cousin singing over it with her great voice...

I think iv noticed a key out at 1:17 on your song, if it wasn't for that and the hiss this would be a perfect 10.... again a beutifull piece of work you've made

"Relaxing"

by: Hades

Very nice song, loved the guitar sounds and background synths. The melodies you built were very nice, reminded me a bit of far-eastern music. This would fit just as well in the Ambiental section, seeing that it is really soothing, and would probably be a great addition to a game or movie as background music. The song was very well-written, but I do agree it would probably sound quite a deal better should the fuzz be excluded, but I know that it's not your fault, so I don't think anyone should deduce any points on that account. :D Great job.

Btw, if you have the time, check out my latest song! I know, I'm an audio whore. ;)

Thanks :)

Trust me. I tried everything. Nothing will make that fuzz go away.

(Except re-recording when time allows.)
