This is a remake of my most popular classical song on NG. I fixed most of the issues that the original song had (this has a better piano, it's longer, better mastering...for the most part at least, etc). The only obstacle I had was the lack of good instruments. I wish I would have used better drum samples but I lost them when I formatted my computer.

The biggest improvement is definitely the piano. It's not FL Keys (whoo). Another improvement I like is the fact that the song's quality no longer "cracks" in some sections thanks to limiters. Adding to that, it has extra sections to make it longer. Overall, it's a better song, albeit it still has some flaws that I might address someday, so help me out and point them.

Most importantly, enjoy the track. All votes and comments are appreciated. I might reupload the song with minor changes soon.

Edit July 29th: Polished the toms.

"Good."

I really enjoyed the piano and the strings combination. It was bit fast for a slow song, but it was still great. Sound quality was good and the effort was good. Amazing end product.

"Great stuff here"

God I love this chord progression. And the piano is indeed a beautiful instrument, Combined with the strings. Even though it's at a decently fast BPM it still maintains the emotion intended. I really do enjoy this man. Very full of feeling. It's got a sadness to it that you just don't seem to find anymore.

"A FAST sad song. Fascinating."

People always think that good sad songs should be slow, but you just prove it that misconception. Ideal song for the theme in my opinion. :)

"Very Nice!"

date: July 25, 2008

The combination of sounds was really great. The piano had a bit of a foreboding sound to my ears, yet the strings and the twinkley sounds gave it quite a serene, warm sound at the same time.
I must say the percussion in this song was a real surprise to me when it came in. You did do a good job of mixing in the percussion in this. Using a woodblock type thing for the snare gave it a much lighter sound, opposed to using a heavy-hitting snare drum. That really went along well with the overall sound of the song. At first I thought this would have sounded better without the drums, but the more I listened, the more the percussion really added to it.
Overall, I really enjoyed the listen. A really nice track.

Author's Response:

Thank you. I used sidesticks to give it a subtler sound that went along with the flow of the piano. The bells...well, I had to add them to give the song a little extra something :D

Thanks again for the review.
