This can either be one of two things, enjoyable or embarrassing. One day I was severely bored and listening to an assortment of game music. I was rather interested in the CT Battle theme so I thought I would try to learn it. Tinkering around on my pretty much average keyboard, I learned the main parts for the most part, but found myself adding a little funky touch. So, I decided to record. I have no way of using my better music software, or my 4-Track recording hardware due to the lack of equipment to implement it with, plus the memory card to it seemed to have sprouted legs and scurried off. Ergo, I used the amazingly swell free Audacity software and recorded directly with my PC mic. It sounds rather shoddy, sure, but at least it sounds pretty good for a PC mic no less. However it doesnt seem to get along well with the drums that much, understandable, but thankfully audible. So you might be annoyed with the occasional clicks and pops. Like I said, I have no extensive recording equipment at my disposal so no headset play back. I basically had to play each track one at a time and keep the timing, or to the best of my ability, in my mental metronome. I also turned a couple of the tracks into loops at parts to help maintain the timing and tempo. Finalizing it with adding a few effects to the music and tada, here it is. Enjoy?

"out of rythm"

date: July 11, 2008

everything was very out of rythm, now jazz or not, things oughta be in rythm, try to work on that, and try to do some mastering, to smoothen everything out:) but it COULD be an awesome song, just please remember the rythm:)

Author's Response:

It pretty much is in rhythm, aside from a few spots. Now the description clearly states all of what this song is about. I quote: "I basically had to play each track one at a time and keep the timing, or to the best of my ability, in my mental metronome." So considering that, I think I did pretty good with what I have. Did you even hear the whole thing? The off-beat is also important, especially for the piano parts at the end. It keeps its beat, "Beating Source". A beat is only as good as it is felt for the song in question. I felt it flow right on, mhmm.

"Slow on down."

date: July 11, 2008

A tad faster than I expected, a little smoother and it would have been awesome.
But I have no say, never played the gmae, so never heard the song.

Enjoyed.
