DnB and beautiful piano pieces. I don't understand.
How do you do it?!

Even though your piano solo pieces are simple they get the meaning through.
I think your what they call, talented.

"On the subject of..."

by: sessle
date: August 8, 2008

On the subject of sorrowful songs as opposed to happy:

Life's no funhouse, this is certain, but for every song that that is created for those depressing times, an "ode to joy" (not as the song, but litterally) is made. I personally listen to happy songs because they leaven my mood, and make me happy, so I believe that there's a place for them as well.

As far as this song goes: I'm not a huge fan of piano by itself, but it's certainly a mood setter, and any song that can truly change emotion or mood is appreciated in my book. The 9 is for want of length.

Author's Response:

thank you for that man, I like to listen to happy songs too. But for some reason, when I sit down to create.. this is what comes out. it was piano piece I actually made while sitting in the dark at 4AM.

"Life is a Long Road"

It was a pleasure to finally speak with you in person, that is, if you consider talking on instant messenger as such. I can fully relate to how you feel with this. Despite what can be seen with my vocabulary, I am a very lonely person. I don't even have a girlfriend, and it often tears me up inside whenever I see happy couples. Still, I have found that it is one of those bumps along the long road of life that we all must overcome.

Now, onto the music. This is actually the kind of music I love to listen to. The soft sorrowful piano spelling out the depression in our hearts in a way that moves you. You have pulled this feeling out aplomb, giving a full view of how you feel, the loneliness fully apparent and relative to those who are in the same position. Honestly, this is one of the songs that I would place at the top of my playlist before all the happy, fast paced techno, ambiance, and drum and bass that I would have because of how moving it is. An excellent piece of work.

Author's Response:

I actually despise happy techno lol, even the greatest hits have sorrowful undertones. In my PERSONAL<-- (Note personal) opinion, the best type of music is the music that can make me cry.
