What started out as a very simplistic waltz-type theme turned into this odd amalgamation of styles. It reminds me of Tetris and Castlevania in places, must've been an unconscious influence. It's also the first time I've ever used a harpsichord in one of my songs.

"HeY!"

It's hard not to resist shouting hey at the beginning of every measure of this song.

It does sound familiar but I don't know from what... like something I've heard in a movie or cartoon years ago. Maybe it was Castlevania or Tetris.
