Author Comments

This is just something that I whipped up on a whim. I've been trying to do a lot with breakeats and drum and bass lately, but then I started messing around with a melody, then a harmony, then it built up into a classical song. For harp, strings and timpani.

After an eternity of waiting, Pandora is ready. She awakens from her slumber, to dance a dance never before witnessed by the eye of man. It is so beautiful, yet so terrible at the same time, the rares of occasions, she will not linger for long. As soon as the music stops, the dance will end, and as quickly as she came, she will vanish into the deepest of sleeps once more.

I really feel that I connected with the music in this song, the melodies and harmonies equally important, each holding a special emotion to the song. The ending is quite sudden, but I think it works well, leaving a slight echo in the age old halls in which Pandora danced. Who needs endings anyway?

Thanks for listening, do feel free to speak your mind, leave a comment, or a vote. I respond to all comments, and appreciate every one of them. Also, if you enjoy this song, feel free to add me to your favourite artists list, favourite this song. It's nice to know that my music doesn't go unappreciated.
Cheers.

PS- This is my 99th submission. I'll try and pull something really special for the big one oh oh. Keep a look out for it!

My God, I loved this song. I haven't listened to all (or many for that matter) of your songs, but for all the ones I've listened to, I've really come to love them. You have an amazing style. You know how to lure a listener in and reward them with what they want to hear, beautiful music. I can honestly say I didn't find anything wrong with this piece. Even though it did sound like a buildup to something explosive, the song by no means disappointed me. I loved every second of it, and it's just another of your songs I'll be downloading and putting on to my Ipod :) Can you tell me which of your songs is your 100th submission? I'd really like to give that a listen and review :)

Keep making music, there's not a reason in the world for you to stop doing what you do best.

not really a dance piece, feels more like I'm sinking down into the deepest depths of the ocean, through the layers of water and consciousness until eventually, it stops...

Though it is definitely a solid piece, it feels a little empty and boring. It feels like the song would jump to a much fuller sound eventually, but left me in disappointment.

However, it is very well put together and I enjoyed it overall. Good job!

Author's Response:

Yeah, I agree with you, I'm not all that good with building up a piece into an epic orchestra, I'd have to kidnap MaestroRage before I could do that. ;D
Thanks for the review.

This is a nice song, its really calm and quiet, but it creates a huge atmosphere with its dark ambience. Its very classical and has a very old feel to it, like a dark song in a castle that noone has lived it, where its always grey outside.
Its best feature is its atmosphere. Youve created a masterpiece.

Author's Response:

Thanks. Your description kind of displayed what I had in mind, but it also reminded me of a short story by H.P Lovecraft, I think it was called "The Outsider" or something like that, it was short and weird, but it had that wonderful imagery about it.

A very quiet and pretty nice song. I like the almost dark atmosphere that this song creates.

The main melody is very catchy and it fits perfectly together with the chorus that can be heard in the background. It sounds almost heroic (and dark at the same time ;) ).
I like the image Coop had in mind, with a big sailing boat. I imagined the same when that chorus set in.

I'm also looking forward to review your 100th submission! ;)

Author's Response:

Hey, thanks man! I get a huge buzz from making songs like this. I don't have the best equipment to work with to create an organic orchestra, but I like to think that I can manipulate what I have got to create something interesting.
