hey man this is pretty good. I can't believe how low of a score this had. This obviously isn't professional recording quality but it has good ideas in it.
Hey everyone!
So, this is my third audio entry to the Newgrounds realm of audio portals! And to know a small-town person like me has audio on a site such as this, the place of all kick-in-the-face awesome music is, makes me happy. This is the first song off my brand new EP simply titled "2008 Demo". I don't have a whole lot to say except 4 things haha.
1. Please check out www.myspace.com/bleedingd aylight . Now, earlier I submitted a song called "Avenging the Fallen" you can find it on the menu down and left from here. On myspace, the first song is a totally revamped version of this song. However, the file size is 9.6MB, too big for a Newground submission. It's all metalized and stuff, and is possibly my greatest song ever lol.
2. You will probably notice some slight timing issues. And I'm terribly sorry... when I notice these things I cringe. So, you ask... "Well why don't you go back and fix it PUNK?" haha... well, to be honest, all I have is Audacity recording program. However, if I get an Apple laptop for college, my friend is gonna hook me up with GarageBand, making everything much, much easier and more fun. To record now, I'd have to record the entire track unless i want a bazillion different tracks. My equipment... just plain sucks to be honest with you. I mean, I play metal and I have a Squier Bullet and Fender CyberChamp amps... which the amp just sucks, the guitar is awesome but not a metal guitar, so i guess it sucks too lol. So... yeah.
3. I hail from Somerset, KY. And I am far from redneck haha. But why I say this, there's an awesome rock band from around here with an awesome name: Live Fish. www.myspace.com/livefishb and they're awesome dudes (and one awesome girl). I suggest you check them out. Light rock, completely different from what you will hear from me.
4. On youtube, type in cowzilla15. You won't be dissapointed (I hope). It's my friend Mark.
That's all now. Listen, review, and go listen to some other awesome stuff.
...or you could download this.... or put it in an animation.... or whatever you want to do with it :) Laterz.

Thanks dude. Eh, a score is a score. I'd rate it about there if I was listening, so its all good. As long is people hear about me. That's my goal.
i don't mind it...
the timing thing... it wasn't too shabby. Near the end it did go up and down a bit but, hey, you're recording music live rather than programming the whole thing... I give you a big tick in my book for doing that in itself.
On the issue of timing: have you tried setting up a click-track on Audacity to "keep you honest"? Drumming&Strumming to a click can be a real pain in the arse but once you get the hang of it you will never look back.
You mention halfway through point two that "To record now, I'd have to record the entire track unless i want a bazillion different tracks". I hate to break it to you but that is exactly what you need to do. It can be really frustrating when you hit a bum note halfway through and have to do the whole thing again, but if you are playing live at a gig you can't turn around and cut-and-paste just because you missed a couple of notes. It's not a bad thing to aim for your best and if that means sitting for three hours re-re-re-re-re-recording a track then imagine how much better you will be after all that practise.
There were some killer riffs in here... keep working on it. The end was really gutsy... the whole thing kept me interested. It had good energy.
I appreciate people like you who give honest answers and don't diss a fellow for trying. And yeah I guess my little statement did sound lazy. The new version of Avenging your Fallen was an all-day project, well over 12 hours into it. And I guess I could sit down and perfect everything. I do use the click track, by the way and it MAJORLY helps. I guess the thing with most people here on Newgrounds is when they record, they hook straight into a synth which automatically keeps time for you and junk, so timing isn't a huge deal to them. But using cheap equipment makes things just a little more difficult. If I knew I could make it well off I'd buy a lot more equipment... a mixer would be nice, and a couple more pedals, on top of a half-stack or something, and instead of plugging straight in to the amp, adding a mic to the speakers sounds much better. Then of course... tubes. So, it really sucks but one day when I'm outta college and have some money I plan on making a recording studio, learning drums so I don't have to deal with the cheesy drum kits on my keyboard (although sometimes they're very beneficial) and yeah. Well... I've spoken too much. Thanks tho.
Nice
Still doing more songs like this i really like it
Thanks!
Please contact me if you would like to use this in a project. We can discuss the details.
