I remember there was a level where there was a backround theme like this, but its not the intro to the game. When you say opening in the title i expected the intro theme, " To Zanarkand".

To Zanarkand is not th the opening title song though thats the song that the press start screen is on the opening sequence is with a variaiton of this song

its good but...

maybe try some other pianos or other instruments and the piano is a bit to high
and this is the intro isnt it? not the opening song in the menu?

this is the song that plays after the menu song when you start up the game
and actually the whole thing was only piano

Since I have not played all the "Final Fantasy" games, I dont know if im right to say this but I think you did tremendous with this song. It flows well and was blended to perfection (I know it sounds like im talking about a smoothie), and contains everything that great hits have. A job well done. =)
