This song actually started as a simple test of the capabilities of FL studio, but ended up as an industrial song resembling the work of Frank Klepacki (of Command & Conquer).

Dark...I like it.

I definitely agree that this can be used in some kind of shooter. However, the imagery I get is kind of strange.

Do you honestly want to know where I can picture this song being used? Haphestus Core in Rapture (Bioshock). I know it sounds strange placing this song there when the songs made and selected for the game were done in the 50's, 60's, or just have the 50's-60's feel to it, but I think it's just the way the beat goes, as well as the instrument lineup. It sounds like someone wandering through the core of the facility, their hands gripping their guns tightly, tense, nervous, ready to blow away anything that threatens their life.

So, of course, the first thing that popped into my head was Haphestus Core. Awesome song. Keep up the great work.

Hades responds:

Nice! Invoking imagery of Bioshock can only be a compliment in my view! ;) Thanks a lot for taking the time to review!

very enjoyable

i found it really enjoyable to hear...
i tried to place it in some games and c&c(command a coquer) is definately one
maybe a shooter game...
but i still loved it!

Hades responds:

Good to hear that you enjoyed it so much! Thanks for commenting!

Nostalgia

Red Alert 2 everyone. Very Frank in the way you use the Orchestra Hit. It seemed to be his favorite as well. Very reminiscent of RA2, but don't call all C&C soundtracks alike. Generals introduced a very (awesome) and different soundtrack than RA.

More review: Good piece, simple and effective. Work on that snare! It gets repetitive. More bass would've also helped, however if you wanted that atmospheric type feel, you have it.

Good song, tad repetitive, reccomend.

P.S. You haven't gone anywhere near the limits of FL Studio. All you've used is stock, I'm assuming. Search for some free VSTi plugins. There's tons of synths.

Hades responds:

First of all, thanks for the review, I really appreciate your comments! Secondly, this was a looong time ago, and my skills in FL have improved drastically. This was made within the first two hours of my FL using, so it's obviously not EQed properly, doesn't use any of the soundfonts which I currently have and is quite a lot simpler than it should have been. Just thought I'd point that out. :P

Once again, thanks a lot for your constructive criticism, nice to hear people take some time to write a little over two sentences these days. ;D

Very like C&C

I could totally see this in a C&C game, you've seriouly hit the mark where Frank has.

Hades responds:

Thank you, kind sir. ;D

This is perfect!

This is exactly what I needed for a video game I'm making! If I finish (and I have a tendency not to :\) I'll let you know. You're given credit obviously.

Hades responds:

Cool, dude! Thanks for notifying me! ;D
