Re-submitting.

I changed the bass to the one I preferred, and messed with the beat ever so slightly.

I am attempting to use the 3osxc and use minimal to no presets.

I think the synths I made are kind of crappy, but then again I'm not used to using the 3osxc like this so....

I'm kind of expecting it to sound weird to myself.

The beat will change, don't worry.

I might try to create one using the 3os, so I'll see how that comes out. (laughs)

The bass I used is simsynth, but I didn't change anything to it, so I MIGHT change it. I really like how it sounds as it is.

But I will probably change it. What I did was similar to using a preset, at least in my mind.

I have lyrics to be sung with this that unfortunately I won't sing on this...=;(

But I'm going to post the lyrics up with the final for those who are interested in knowing what the lyrics are...

Or just because I want to post them ^.^

Well...

Rate, Comment, and Enjoy.

Liked the melody of the song the beat was alittle simple but it was still fun to listen to i liked how the piano was used which made this more then just any other techno song it really made it sound cool 8||10 but i gave you a 5||5 cause i did really enjoy it

Thanks, I'm glad you enojyed it.

I'm actually working on the beat though, and I've changed the beginning melody altogether so..

I'll see how it works out in the end. Thanks for the review!

Your using a lot of stock FL sounds. However, your finally giving them a little more personality. Using effects and such. My advice is, you need to search outside of FL for other plug-ins. People who dont make music and dont use FL are not going to notice, but people who do, will generally notice instantly. I'd advise in finding a different keyboard (however, this time around you did make it sound loads better than i've heard it before). I did not like when the bass came in. I could tell it was from FL. So i would mess with it, process it outside of the song and really make it your own to make your own sound. Now onto other things - - -

The melody was great. I always like synthy melodies. I like the little stalls you had in it. The piano's melody was also great as well. Nicely arranged. They both played off of each other nicely. Had a very nice feel to the song.

The beat wasnt anything special, i've heard that pattern in just about any other song. So i'd work on making it something more entertaining more interesting, unique, etc.

You're getting better and thats great to see. You keep working hard on songs and you'll get better. My advice: Search outwardly for other vst's, samples, etc.

Also, i think some automated controlling of reverb, phasers and flanger might set this track in the right direction if you use it for the synth!

Your on the right path, i cant wait to see how you flush this out.

Keep at it : D

Ugh, this is starting to hurt!

Going out and getting other vsts and samples, and I can't... (read last review if you haven't)

When you say process it outside of the song, what do you mean by that...?

Yeah, I'm going to change the beat indefinitely. Have no idea about another one, but I'll think of something...lol.

And when you say a different keyboard, what do you mean?
Like, I don't use my keyboard for anything really, I use my mouse for everything.

And about the melody, the piano is actually supposed to be the main melody, I just have the synth too loud. It's supposed to coincide with the piano that comes in at around 01:32 ish.

Glad you thought this one was better than the last, ha ha.

It gives me hope.

Thanks man!!

The bass in this is pretty sweet - so smooth, and low; that main melody synth you use is pretty plain, computery, but I like the way you fit your multiple instruments together - they harmonize together well, and it sounds good.

July 7, 2008

Author's Response:

Yeah.

The synth is meant to be plain because it's not the main melody.

The piano later on is supposed to grab your attention but unfortunately it's drowned out.

I'm glad you enjoyed it though.

Thanks!

"Hey."

date: June 22, 2008

This was pretty cool. Way out of my genre, but what was here sounded excellent. I thought the synth at the beginning was a bit loud and drowned out the piano. But, The focus seemed to be on the synthed melody rather than the piano. So, maybe some compression on that bad boy.

Otherwise, I quite liked this.
Voted 5 too.

Author's Response:

I hear what you're talking about.

I'll fix that, because the piano is actually more melodic than the synths, so I'll definitely work on that.

Thanksfor reviewing!

"well hello hello!"

Love the piano in this song.. The synth at the beginning could use a little more work. Great opening however. The bass that comes in later is pretty nice as well. Everything does flow as the song goes along. You've learned a few things and it shows! Wonderful work!
