My friend, you walked away from the basic premise of making a good song better. All you did was nearly mute the main parts and overshoot on the sub-sounds. Also, why did you take away the organ? The least you could've done was add a slight variation.
Like seriously, you f**ked it up horribly. Therefore, I can only give you 1.5 stars. I could tell it was the Bowser Final on SM64. But that's it.
I'm only tryin to help you out here. If you want people to like your remix more, take heed of what I'm saying.
