It's been a while since I uploaded a track at the NGAP. This is still at 80% though, but this is proof that I'm still around making music. Rechecked the levels on this song as per Sialys's comments.
Hope you guys will enjoy the track! It's a sad song if you picture yourself as the first person (or third wheel, if you will).
Update 07/14/2008 - The recording was remastered.
Update 07/16/2008 - ...and remastered again.
Diamonds
[J. Reynoso]
[15 January 2008]
You came
in all beauty and grace
to your favorite place
for dinner for two.
You had the time of your life.
You had your favorite meal,
and your favorite song
played around you.
He then goes down
to bend on one knee,
and asks you
to marry him.
He wants that ring around your finger,
but do you really want him?
Don't give him your hand
'coz you're not worth
his diamonds.
His diamonds
are worth nothing.
Oh heed me when I say
you're not worth
his diamonds.
They're worth nothing to you...
...worth nothing to me,
as I see you playing games
through the window.
You were laughing in tears
as you put on his ring
around your finger.
Truth is he wants
to take you away,
away from me.
Don't give him your hand
'coz you're not worth
his diamonds.
His diamonds
are worth nothing.
Oh heed me when I say
you're not worth
his diamonds.
They're worth nothing to you...
...worth nothing to me.
Don't take his hand,
he'll take you for granted.
Don't be a fool
for the games he's playing.
Wait for me.
Don't give him your hand
'coz you're not worth...
Don't give him your hand
'coz you're not worth
his diamonds.
No... those diamonds are not worth anything now, baby.
Oh listen to me.
Those diamonds are not worth anything, no!
Don't give him your hand.
Wait for me.
