NOTE: Just a quick heads up! You may have to turn up the volume a bit on this one. It is a bit on the quiet side (Unless my speakers are simply terrible and/or broken).

Before someone inevitably asks, the answer is no; this is not Naruto. It isn't related to the song "Sadness and Sorrow" on Naruto, nor did I even watch the anime at the time I wrote this. That is a great song, but this is completely unrelated aside from the coincidental sharing of titles. :P

Now that we've got that out of the way, on to the actual commentary. I wrote this piece long ago, and I've come a long way musically since then. However, I have received several requests to remake this song. I've added a VERY simple intro, a nicer piano soundfont, some strings, and I've tweaked the volume in a few spots. I think it sounds a lot better, but you can compare if you'd like.

Anyhow, I look forward to your comments! I would love to know your opinion, how I might improve this, or even what you imagine as you listen to this music. I read and respond to every review, so don't shy away! XD

Thanks in advance, and enjoy. :)
~Blaze

PS. I really need a decent strings sample for free. I have been using the string soundfont that comes with the FL Studio demo, but I can't stand it anymore. Know of any good samples for free?

Oh my...

At first I thought this was going to be a heavy metal song about pain, turns out I'm wrong. I know many NG users who play instruments and always make it rock. They aren't bad, but they can use something different from wrong. I've searched far and wide for a song that's very touching that isn't rock. Seems like this is the perfect song.

I've viewed most of your other songs as well. And I've got to say, you're a grand master at piano. No other NG user I've seen who plays piano play better than you. You clearly are the best.

Keep up the excellent work!

I am progressively finding merit in rock music and heavy metal. Emotionally, it is a highly viable art form. Still, I love my piano roots. Thanks for reviewing. :)

Oh, and check out Winterwind-NS and Mjatte. Both of them kick my trash in piano playing ability.

Mind blowing and Heart renching

I must simply say that i think ive heard a good amount of music in my life. However, this absolute masterpiece is one of the very few songs that has made me break into tears. this song will be remembered by me for the rest of my life. as a last note i do believe you to be a musical geniuse and deserve no less than recognition of being exactly that.

As I listen to more and more music, I find myself less and less convinced of any genius that I may possess. :p Still, I appreciate your kind words and am thankful that you have enjoyed my piece. Thank you for reviewing.

Amazing, simply amazing.

This song... it really speaks out to me. The message it says to me, "you don't know what you got, till its gone." Such a precious song with a deep meaning in its beats, should be cherished deeply in our hearts. Simply amazing...

A close friend of mine recently died in a high school football accident. It made national news and got a story on ESPN...The message holds true. You don't know what you have until it's gone. I'm learning to cherish what I have.

Thank you for reviewing, Solidius.

One word. Amazing.

Simply amazing. I have NEVER heard a tune that has ever made me feel as sorrowful as this has. You have truly created THE most epic piece of art I have ever heard. You are officially my favorite composer, and I definitely look forward to your future masterpieces.
