This song was a live jam where Steve just kind of leaned over and hit record. It's a PERFECT example of a Strangled Blue live jam, where we just rock out to blast beats and distortion. The lyrics were inspired by the fact we record in like, the WORST neighborhood ever, Nutbush Tennessee. It's urban and country AT THE SAME TIME. It's like, crackwhores, rednecks, and chav scum all in the same little intersection of hell called Memphis Tennessee. As you may recall, running far, far away from Memphis and hitting a bump was what propelled Elvis's career into the stratosphere. Ok, that, a nice ass, and shitload of of speed, but that's besides the point. I don't even like speed; it gives me stomach cramps. I mean, these are THE people who elected ol' GWB, to give you an idea how bad it is. Sometimes I wonder how these people can be hedonistic drunken crackheads AND vehement, illiterate preacher worshippers all in one go, but they manage it. It's like a perfect storm of mouth breathing human waste.
And we spawn from THAT.
