ANCIENT ALERT
Produced in 2006.

I saw the shit movie "Doom" one day, and loved the intro vocals. So I simply built a song around it using a melody from one of my old old old songs from my time in FastTracker 2.08. It starts slowly and repetive, got the ambient interlude - and finishes off with a melody. Nothing really special here, but its still worth the upload at least :)

The Lyrics:

"In the year 2026,
archeologist working in the Nevada desert,
discovered a portal to an ancient city on Mars.
They called this portal 'The Arc'.
20 years later we are still struggling,
to understand why it was built,
and what happened to the civilization that built it"

very cool song, you are good at making this kind of music, cool acid touch to it, love it:) and btw have you ever been the best of anything here on NG? or anywhere? because if that Pokemon Sinnoh Rap thingy can do it o_0 u can! ;-D

great work on this one, nice and easy song to be in the back:) cool.

Author's Response:

Hm, here on NG the only thing I have achived officially is "Best of the Week" and "Best Track Ever" with my song "Forever Gamer". It also stayed on top in the dance-charts for 2 weeks before the score mysteriously dropped and it went several pages behind. Thats all I can think of.

Anyway, glad you like this one man - alltough it might be the simplest song I've uploaded this far. (except "The Paladin" that is:P). Appreciate the review man =)

"Great voices..."

by: Aevars
date: June 6, 2008

Exactly as in Energize, the voice sample is very well used ! The pads are just...wonderful ! Too bad the passage is too short...
The rest of the song is a bit repetitive, because there is no real lead, just a melody playing over and over again with pads and the same bass... it's why you don't get a 10 for this one ;).
But hey, keep up the good work, and I'm looking forward for your next song :).

Author's Response:

Thanks a lot man =) Repetive is a good word for this yes, as it was made mostly in one go. To be honest, I just wanted to wrap the vocal-idea from Doom there in something :) And Im glad you dont hate it, so thanks a lot for the 9 and the review :)
