I've composed this track for a local competition to compose the anthem of an event - but unfortunately I haven't earned any place with it. So I've decided to upload it, maybe some of you can use this track in flash animation or you found worthy to listen to it.

Enjoy it and comments are welcome!

"Wow"

date: July 16, 2008

This was a very inspiring song, I'm surprised you didn't place! :( But there were a couple things I noticed. The brass was a bit too overpowering at times, and the strings sounded a bit high-pitched sometimes too. But still, very good job! I loved the drums! :)

"Excellent melody, but could be a bit fixed"

by: MRSA

The notes are just fine, but I think some of the instruments you threw in there dont mix that well. I'm not sure if you used a synthesizer or the trumpet generator you're using isn't that great, but nonetheless, still great. The flute/piccolo or whatever you used part is the best.

"Powerful Anthem"

A powerhouse of an anthem. Very strong, heroic melody. The mixing and arrangements are all top notch. I love the way it builds in the first 20 seconds. Excellent flow. Excellent song.

Author's Response:

In the first 20 sec. was meant to be like waves - I've used snare drum rolls with long reverb to create that.

I'm glad you liked the song. Thanks for the comment!

"Passionate and beautiful."

date: June 5, 2008

The beginning is very mellow, but stirring. It builds up quite nicely. When the song actually breaks out at 0:23, it's very passionate. Quite beautiful. The song holds very well as it continues along - not one note seems out of place. The ending is also very good; I've been hearing a lot of weak endings lately, and this song makes up for it.

My only criticism is the name, really. This doesn't sound like a challenge song to me. It sounds like a victory. A hero finally on his way home. This song strikes up so many vivid images for me. It's really quite stunning. I don't think I can resist downloading it.
Amazing work.

Author's Response:

Well I gave the title "Challenge" because this anthem was composed for a sport-event and because of that I thouht this title would be fitting.

I'm happy that you like the song besides this. Thanks for the review!
