{EDIT} Well I have severely underestimated my fans at NewGrounds. Only two weeks after being submitted and it's already on the front page of the AP. Thank you very much everyone for your support and encouragement.
This was an old one I did almost 6 years ago after I had finished high school and had just started college. I found it recently on an old jump drive. Try to forgive it for its simplicity (and lack of decent drum sequencing).
This was all done with FruityLoops ver 3.0. That's right peeps, it hadn't been dubbed FL Studio quite yet. I believe this was the first version where they introduced the piano roll. Geez I feel old now. The piano was with some kind of free vst you could download from their site at the time. I forgot what it was called. My roommate, Seth, provided the guitar towards the middle. He's since moved on to law school and will be rocking hard with copyright law on his side. Go man go!
Anyways,,,,I don't expect you to vote this favorably. I just wanted to preserve it since it serves as a reminder to me as to how much my sound has grown from it.
P.S....I'm well aware of the cheesy fade out. Give me a break today ;-)

Lacking something, but still nice.
I like the overall beat, and the song really flows. Missing some killer Drums and Bass, but still a very beautiful tune :)

Ha, cheesy? It does remind of me songs from 99-03.
I always admired those slow fade-outs, I used to get annoyed when songs had very small fadeouts or none :D?
This does have the same feel as Instrumental #4 to me, a nice relaxed vibe, but slowly energy building. Something I'd probably use to wake myself up in the morning if I fell asleep on time.
I loved the guitar and its mellowness; those soft guitar sounds I always fall for :D
For some reason I actually picture myself at a college campus (which for some reason this song causes me to think BACK, not into the future), but one more secluded. Somewhere in the mid-east--maybe North Carolina or Virginia. I don't know. It's the trees-ish, mid-north feeling.
The synths were a little repetitive and I couldn't hear much bass, that's about the only thing I have for constructive criticism. I forgive you, but still I highly doubt anyone will vote unfavorably on this. I mean come on, 85 votes and nearly 4.70 !
All in all though, it's another successful piece bound to be found high on NG's charts ;)
Peace
