This is an arrangement of Adagio for Strings for Brass.

Here it is being performed by the Canadian Brass assisted w/ the former Star of Indiana Drum and Bugle Corp. The Event was known as Brass Theatre II

Take note that I have arranged one of these myself but... Due to certain issues I am not able to access the playback file... It is for the most part exactly the same as this... It is just that I stumbled upon this recording and I couldn't pass up the opportunity to share one of the most inspiring classical pieces of our century performed by a very extraordinary Brass Choir...

So Enjoy... Rate however the hell you feel... Doesn't bother me any...

You may want to mention the original composer, Samuel Barber! This is a great arrangement indeed. The brass doesn't diminish the fragile nature of the piece one bit, but gives it a very unique, and warm tone to the music. I love it. Mr. Barber would be pleased with the way his piece was arranged I'm sure. Keep uploading great music like this!

Great Arrangement.

I play the violin, and I have played this song. This is one of my favorite compositions of all time, and, quite frankly, the Canadian Brass along with the Drum and Bugle Corp. have managed to transcribe the same feeling of euphoria and relaxation the original brings. Great job, sir. R
eally great job.

I can see why Oney favorited this.

It can be hard somtimes to find very unique classical music here on NG, but fortunately you are just one of the very few people who not only has good taste for classical music, but also original. Your music is something that I would definately relax and take the time to listen to; and as I said this before, I can definately see why Oney favorited this.

Thank you for sharing this and keep up the good work!

This is afine piece of work

I noticed every part:on how one trumpet has a mute , then how their was that duet between trumpts turned into a trio with a french horn , then the entire trumpet and french horn sections began to harmonise into when a trumbone entered and the song entered pianissimo , then the song entered such a beautiful crescendo until
BAM !!!!!! FORTISSIMO , half and dotted halves , flying every where until tied whole notes , and then hitting a coda , sending them back to to a slow and beautiful beginning . Unti hitting another coda sending to the eding which happend to be the most peace ful and quiet parts of the songs

What an amazing piece , how beutiful the entire section played . Please excuse my language but , if you give this a low rating you are a jackass who doesn't understand fine music even when it is put right into your ears .

Spectacular and wonderful song , you certianly have a taste for fine music .
Great song .
