This is the rough version of the song version of the reverb'd version of my loop, Calm Before the Storm. I was having a little trouble figuring out what to prune off of the song, or a good melody for a string accompaniment, so I'm going to let you guys enjoy the unaltered (except for added reverb) piano piece. This was played by hand (like all of my songs except one), played from memory (like all of my songs), played without tempo changes (like some of my songs), and is a one-track recording of piano (like all of my piano-only songs). If you have any suggestions for the final version of this song, feel free to comment! Also, please listen through the whole thing before commenting. We audio artists hate it when people zero-bomb without even leaving feedback!

the song is full of power
I like the unplugged play very much
at 1:58 there could be a second higher piano or...
I know it's a "Piano Only" song but I had wonderful ideas to improve the mood
with violins (I'm a violin-freak =D how you can hear in my songs)
I missed something like that to set a decenter note
but that is only my opinion

I think we would complete us xD

good luck to finishing this brillant work ;)

I really appreciate your feedback and I'm glad that you like the song! You said that you have ideas involving violins? I've been having trouble coming up with a string part. Could I send you the midi file to mess around with?

Oh this is why there are these wierd tempo changes!!! :D
You actually play them by hand!
However, I loke this one VERY VERY MUCH!
You should play it on a concert grand piono or something!
I feel a mixture of this lonely pianist in a sewer and escaping from somewhere...

I tried playing on a concert grand once. It didn't work out too well. Since it isn't electronic (like my keyboard), you actually have to use some force on the keys to get a good sound out of the thing. This greatly inhibits my speed, making it impossible for me to play things like this. And also, it's not completely by hand, like I'm recording with a mic. I play by hand and it records through midi, which allows me to record what I play by hand and then edit what I do later. I'm glad you like it though! It isn't a finished product yet, I still need to prune some stuff off of the end (oh god I hope I don't have to re-record the track) and add some strings, which I am finding quite difficult. I'm not coming o you for help yet though :D
