if this is the prologue i want to hear the main event, its very forebding, i want to hear more! short but sweet (and the best i've ever heard using notepad, i'm a sibelius user myself)

This is my MAC8 Music to motion entry. I was going to add an orchestral accompaniment, but I just stuck with what I was comfortable with, and I'm really pleased with the emotion and delicacy of the music. I think it reflects the video pretty well (note: those that don't know, this month's audio competition required a composition to accompany a 2 minute video). I'll upload it to youtube a bit later...
I hope whoever listens to this enjoys it. This is the first song I've written that I can perform live on an actual piano. Made using free samples, reaper and finale notepad. Yeah, I'm being a cheap ass to prove you don't need millions of dollars to sound alright.

Yeah, I've had previous experience with sibelius, and as much as it's awesome, it's not free.
The samples I used weren't the notepad ones, I used a program called reaper for that.

Nice song
Right. I don't know what this 'Review Request Club' is about but it's probably due to the fact I'm rather new to the classical category of the audio portal. I used to hang out at the dance category all the time, but some songs caught my attention. And now I'm exploring this place.
Very relaxing yet emotional song. Some fancy piano playing as well.
No musician myself, can't be much technical, but it has a nice touch.

Mood Music.
What begins as a simple melody invokes a whole range of emotions as it progresses and evolves. It's almost as if the music has a life of its own, starting off unsure of itself, facing challenges and perhaps even overcoming them; however It never quite loses the feeling of trepidation.
Very emotive, very clever.

Excellent sounded piece. Sounded very final fantasy esque. and that's noting but a complement. Love how it built and was so fun of emotion that is very hard to pull off but you did. Well done on creating such a good and complex song :D

Thanks, love the compliments. I strive to get that emotion in my music, and this one fell into place really well. I'm trying to keep up this emotion in my future projects, and I think it's a great personal challenge, and I really enjoy the composition process, and the rewarding end result. Thanks for the review. This is very heartfelt peice, i thought it was great. I liked the piano isolation throughout. It made the track sound very peaceful and it didnt need anything else in it.
